Your Game-Changing Idea Is Hiding in Plain Sight
You've Probably Already Written The Idea That Will Transform Your Life
How many words have you written?
How many ideas have you committed to paper?
How many times have you written an idea and moved on ignoring the potential in that idea?
Sometimes I lay awake at night trying to recall all the ideas I had and wrote about during the day, it’s an exercise in futility.
In today’s newsletter I have a couple of ideas to help you latch onto those game changing ideas that have the potential to change your life.
(That’s no exaggeration..one article I wrote about a piece of software changed my life and I’m still doing the same things 20 years later… but that’s a story for another day!)
Before we dive in just a quick note. A few weeks ago I had an idea and instead of forgetting about it I ran with it.
I created The Growth Hub
The Growth Hub is a community for like minded content creators who want to take action and grow their content business in 2025.
It’s a mixture of personal and group coaching, a course and a community.
It’s free for :
• VIP/Foundation Level Newsletter Subscribers
• All Access Pass Owners
• Annual and Lifetime Members of the Inner Circle
Anyone not in those categories can get access for a very reasonable price (I think it is!)
Check out The Growth Hub or log into the inner circle which is included in all those categories listed above for your access invites. (or reach out to me!)
Let The People Decide
Your audience is the best judge of whether an idea is worth persuing.
What have people highlighted or restacked?
What have people commented about?
What have people asked you to clarify?
For example anyone notice where they may have seen this comment earlier this week?
That is a line I put into an article a few weeks back, people highlighted it so I used it as a note earlier this week.
I may use it as an idea for an article, how about: “How To Algorithm Proof Your Content- A Long-Term Strategy for Growth”
What about a video about how to Algorithm Proof your content by writing evergreen content?
Or a book about How To Beat The Algorithm?
Or a Course, or Coaching.
The possibilities are endless.
Test The Waters
So you’ve found an idea that people like, it’s time to test it.
Try different things, do that video, post it as an image quote, do a newsletter about it. Test that other parts of your audience react in the same way.
Monitor your stats, it might be it takes off with you existing audience but not with people who aren’t yet part of your audience… no problem file it away and revisit it when you have a bigger audience.
I had less than 300 subscribers when I wrote about SuperContent, I tested it across many channels and it’s definitely got potential BUT my audience isn’t yet big enough for it to reach “critical mass” But you can be sure I’ll test the waters a few times over the coming year.
AI Is Your Friend
If like me you have a lot of content with many ideas written and forgotten then AI could be a life saver.
Why not ask AI to look at your content and the extract key ideas from it
In the image above ChatGPT extracted 5 key ideas from the content, that’s 5 article topics I can use to link back to the newsletter and grow subscribers, 5 ideas I can test and look deeper into.
5 possible topics for new newsletters, training and coaching.
All from 1 newsletter.
Imagine doing that for every article and newsletter you have written, how many recurring themes would you find that already have proven they have traction?
That’s it for this week, go find those hidden gems and check out the Growth Hub, this has given you a taste of what we’ll be doing.
For most of us who have been writing and vlogging for the past few years, we have an infinite amount of content to mine and share at this point.
It's a battle between what we THINK will resonate and what ACTUALLY resonates.
For my part, I don't have $200 to spare for the newest ChatGPT release, and I hope they don't increase the other tiers. 😆
